The Old Hickory Animal Shelter is built specifically for the way animals actually use a space. A 4x6-inch pressure treated perimeter base resists ground moisture that would rot standard lumber over time, making this shelter a long-term investment rather than a temporary solution. The pressure treated kick boards run approximately 4 feet high with 1.5-inch spacing — the right height to protect the structural walls while keeping animals contained.

Each standard stall is 8 feet wide, and one stall comes with every 12 feet of building length. A 10x12 gives you one stall. A 10x24 gives you two. Additional stalls with openings and dividers can be added for an additional cost. Don't shortchange your animals on space — the shelter is sized to match the herd.

The tack room option adds a separate enclosed space for saddles, tack, farm tools, and supplies. Available on larger configurations. See below for full tack room details. Buildings are set directly on ground — no concrete, no blocking, no site prep required beyond suitable ground conditions.
